Day 1

After breakfast at your accommodations, you will be picked up by your driver-guide and drive approximately two-hours to Tarangire National Park. Enjoy game viewing in this baobab paradise and elephant land. Lunch will be provided, and later you will drive to your hotel for your overnight stay.

Tarangire National Park - Karatu

After breakfast at your accommodations, you will leave the lodge with packed lunches in hand. Tarangire National Park is famous for its large elephant population and giant baobab trees. You can expect to see elephant herds, wildebeest, zebras, giraffes, hippos, baboons, and antelopes. Birds are abundant, and you may spot the three rare species of Ash starlings, as well as great kudu and fringe-eared oryx. Predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, jackals, and hyenas can also be found. Your overnight stay will be in Karatu near the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Day 3

Karatu – Central Serengeti National Park

Rise and shine to a morning in Karatu. Enjoy your breakfast and depart the lodge to drive to Serengeti National Park, crossing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. There is a good chance of seeing game along the way. In the middle of the journey, you will stop for lunch and then proceed with game viewing. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 4-5

Enjoy your breakfast and depart the lodge for another full game drive in Serengeti National Park, in search of the Big Five. There is a good chance of seeing many cats. In the middle of the journey, you will stop for lunch, or you may arrange with your driver-guide to return to the lodge for a hot lunch. You’ll then proceed on another game drive until the evening. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at the lodge.

Day 6

Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater - Karatu

Serengeti National Park - Ngorongoro Crater - Karatu

After an early breakfast, we will pack all the luggage into our vehicles and then drive to Ngorongoro Crater for game viewing. You may get a chance to see some wildlife on the way as you leave Serengeti National Park. Upon arrival at Ngorongoro we will descend into the crater for game viewing. The Ngorongoro Crater is a place where you can spot rhinoceros and other animals, including lions, buffalo, zebra, eland, and hyena.

After game viewing, we will ascend from the crater and drive to Karatu.

After a leisurely breakfast, you will slowly drive to Mto wa Mbu and partake in some of the village’s activities. Walk around the coffee farms and banana trees and learn about their different cultural practices. You may have a chance to taste some of the local food. After the visit, spend some time at a Maasai Boma with the community, then drive back to Arusha.
