Upon arrival at either Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari driver who will be waiting for you at the arrivals area holding a sign with your name. You will then be transferred to your hotel in Arusha for check-in and time to refresh after your journey.

Depending on your arrival time, you will enjoy a relaxed Arusha city tour, offering a glimpse of local markets, cultural spots, and daily Tanzanian life. This is a perfect introduction to your safari adventure while allowing you to adjust comfortably before heading into the wilderness.

After an early breakfast at your Arusha hotel, your safari begins with a scenic drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds, baobab-studded landscapes, and abundant wildlife including lions, leopards, zebras, and diverse bird species.

You will spend the day on a guided game drive through Tarangire’s vast plains, capturing incredible wildlife moments and photographing the iconic scenery. A picnic lunch may be arranged in a designated area inside the park to make the most of your safari experience.

After breakfast, you will set off for the Serengeti National Park, heading to either the Ndutu Plains in the south or Central Serengeti, depending on the timing of the Great Migration.

Ndutu (Southern Serengeti, December–March): Witness the dramatic calving season, where thousands of wildebeest give birth, attracting predators such as lions, cheetahs, and hyenas, a photographer’s paradise.

Central Serengeti (April–November): Follow the migrating herds as they traverse the grassy plains, spotting predators, wildebeest, and zebras in their natural, ever-changing habitats.

After breakfast, you will head toward the Serengeti National Park. Your exact route will depend on the migration season:

If it is the Mara River crossing season (typically July–October): You will visit Kogatende, where thousands of wildebeest and zebras attempt the dramatic river crossing. This is one of the most thrilling wildlife spectacles, with predators such as crocodiles and lions often nearby.

If it is outside the river crossing season: You will enjoy a full-day game drive in the Central or Northern Serengeti, following the migrating herds as they traverse the plains. You’ll still experience incredible wildlife sightings, including lions, cheetahs, elephants, and zebras, in the heart of the Serengeti ecosystem.

A picnic lunch will be arranged in the park, giving you more time to immerse yourself in the migration experience. In the late afternoon, return to your lodge or tented camp in the Serengeti for dinner and overnight.

Begin the day with an early breakfast, then enjoy a morning game drive in the Serengeti National Park, exploring its abundant wildlife and scenic landscapes. Depending on the season, you may continue following the migrating herds or focus on spotting resident wildlife such as lions, elephants, cheetahs, and giraffes.

After an exciting morning in the park, you will depart for Karatu, a charming town located on the edge of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, enjoy scenic views of the highlands and local villages.
