Zanzibar to Northern Serengeti – Afternoon Game Drive

Your journey begins with a morning transfer from Zanzibar to the airport for a scheduled light aircraft flight to Kogatende Airstrip in Northern Serengeti National Park. During the flight, enjoy the changing scenery as the coastal shoreline fades into the wide, open plains of the Serengeti.
Upon arrival, meet your professional safari guide and set out on a game drive straight from the airstrip. This region supports abundant wildlife throughout the year, including lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and cheetahs. During the migration months, large concentrations of wildebeest often gather nearby as they prepare to navigate the Mara River.
In the late afternoon, proceed to Engutoto Migration Camp for dinner and an overnight stay, experiencing the atmosphere and natural sounds of the Serengeti at night.

Mara River Full-Day Safari

After breakfast, set out with packed lunches for a full day exploring the Mara River area in Northern Serengeti National Park. Today is dedicated to observing the wildebeest herds as they move toward the river. Your guide will monitor the animals and coordinate with other drivers to increase the chances of seeing a crossing, which can happen suddenly and unpredictably.
When the wildebeest enter the river, the scene is dramatic — animals struggle through strong currents while crocodiles wait, and dust and splashing water create a spectacular display. The area is also home to lions, hyenas, leopards, hippos, and large crocodiles, making the surroundings alive with wildlife action.
Enjoy a picnic lunch in a safe, bush setting, then continue your afternoon game drive. Return to Engutoto Migration Camp in the late afternoon for dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Morning Game Drive – Transfer to Kogatende – Fly Back to Zanzibar

Rise early for a final morning game drive. Early hours are particularly productive for predator sightings, as lions and other carnivores are more active before the heat of the day.
This short drive offers one last opportunity to witness migration herds, spot cheetahs hunting, or observe elephants crossing the plains in golden morning light — perfect for photography.
After the game drive, return to camp for breakfast before transferring to Kogatende Airstrip for your scheduled return flight to Zanzibar.
Upon arrival in Zanzibar, transfer back to your hotel to continue your beach holiday.
