Day 1

You'll be picked up at 8:30 am from your hotel in Arusha and depart for Tarangire National Park with a picnic lunch for a full-day game drive.

Tanzania’s third-largest National park is known for its majestic baobab trees that dot the landscape, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. The Tarangire River is the centerpiece of this park which is famous for some of the largest herds of elephants in Africa.

Here, you may see lions, leopards, cheetahs, lesser kudus, buffalos, oryx, elands, giraffes, and zebras. Post the game drive and lunch, you will head back to your accommodation where a delicious dinner awaits you.

Day 2

After finishing up a good breakfast, you will head out towards the Serengeti National Park and travel amid the never-ending plain grasslands.

The Serengeti is arguably the most impressive wildlife sanctuary in the world. You will have an afternoon game drive in the endless plains of the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging in the shade.

A picnic lunch will be done during the day-long game drive itself. The eventful day comes to an end with a heavy dinner and a good night’s rest in your accommodation with an amazing sundown view this place is the most beautiful ever.

Day 3

Serengeti to Karatu

Serengeti to Karatu

After breakfast, begin your morning game drive in Central Serengeti, particularly around the wildlife-rich Seronera area. The permanent water sources of the Seronera River attract wildlife throughout the year, offering excellent opportunities to see lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras and other Serengeti species.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park before beginning your journey from Serengeti toward Karatu. Travel through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands, watching the landscape change from the open Serengeti plains to the greener highlands. Arrive at your accommodation in Karatu later in the day for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4

After an early breakfast, depart from your accommodation and travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a rewarding game drive across the crater floor, one of Tanzania’s most concentrated wildlife areas. Look for lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas and, with some luck, the rare black rhino.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater before continuing your afternoon game drive through its varied landscapes. Later in the afternoon, ascend from the crater and drive toward Mto wa Mbu, passing through the scenic highlands and Great Rift Valley surroundings. Upon arrival, continue to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Lake Manyara NP to Arusha

After breakfast, depart from your accommodation and drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive. Explore the park’s varied landscapes, from groundwater forests and acacia woodlands to the open areas surrounding the lake. Look for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, monkeys and a variety of birdlife, with the possibility of spotting the park’s famous tree-climbing lions.

Enjoy a picnic lunch during your game drive before continuing to explore the park in the afternoon. Later, leave Lake Manyara and begin your journey back to Arusha. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your accommodation for an overnight stay. Dinner will be at your own expense.

After breakfast, depart from Arusha and drive toward the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro for a day trip to Materuni village. Upon arrival, meet your local guide and begin a scenic walk through the green countryside, passing small farms, coffee and banana plantations before reaching the impressive Materuni Waterfalls.

Spend time enjoying the waterfall and surrounding scenery before returning to the village for a traditional coffee experience. Learn how locally grown coffee is harvested, roasted and prepared using traditional methods, with the opportunity to enjoy a freshly brewed cup.

After the experience, enjoy lunch before beginning your drive back to Arusha in the afternoon. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your preferred location, marking the end of your Tanzania safari and Materuni Waterfalls adventure.
