Kigali City Tour & Transfer to Bwindi National Park

Your guide will pick you up in the morning from your hotel or from Kigali International Airport.

You will begin with a guided city tour of Kigali, one of Africa’s cleanest and most organized cities. The tour includes a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, where you will learn about Rwanda’s history and remarkable journey of resilience.

You may also explore local markets, craft centers, and enjoy views from some of the city’s beautiful hills.

After lunch, begin your scenic drive north toward the Uganda border. Cross through Katuna and continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home of the endangered mountain gorillas.

Arrival is in the evening. Check in at your lodge, relax, and prepare for the next day’s big adventure.

Gorilla Trekking experience & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting your gorilla trekking experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Accompanied by experienced rangers, you will hike through dense forest searching for a habituated gorilla family. The trek can take between 1 to 6 hours depending on where the gorillas are located.

Once found, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing them in their natural habitat. Watching a silverback, mothers caring for babies, and playful juveniles in the wild is truly emotional and life-changing.

After the trek, return for lunch and then transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.

Arrive in the evening and relax at the lakeside. The cool breeze and peaceful surroundings are the perfect reward after your forest hike.

Canoe Experience & Transfer Back to Kigali

After breakfast, enjoy a traditional canoe experience on Lake Bunyonyi. Glide across the calm waters as you learn about the different islands and local stories.

Return to the lodge for early lunch before beginning your transfer back to Kigali.

The drive takes about 4–5 hours including border crossing.

Drop off at your hotel or at Kigali International Airport for departure.
