Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Nairobi, followed by a short briefing before departing for the world-famous Masai Mara. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley with a brief stop at the viewpoint for panoramic photos.

You will travel with packed lunch boxes from Nairobi, allowing you to maximize your time in the reserve. Upon arrival in the Masai Mara around midday, proceed straight into your first exciting game drive en route to your camp. This is your first opportunity to experience the vast savannah plains and spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo and with luck, lions or cheetahs.

In the late afternoon, exit the park and head to your comfortable mid-range tented camp for check-in and relaxation.

Day 2

After an early breakfast, depart with picnic lunch boxes for a full-day game drive focused on the legendary Mara River crossing points. Today is strategically dedicated to positioning near the riverbanks where thousands of wildebeest and zebras gather during the migration season.

Your guide will carefully track herd movements and use up-to-date wildlife information to locate potential crossing activity. The tension builds as animals line up along the river, often hesitating before making their dramatic plunge into crocodile-filled waters one of Africa’s most thrilling wildlife spectacles.

While focusing on river crossings, you will also encounter lions, elephants, buffalo and other predators that follow the migration herds. Enjoy a picnic lunch near the river before continuing your search for crossing action in the afternoon.

Return to camp in the late afternoon after an intense and unforgettable safari day. Dinner and overnight at your tented camp.

Day 3

Masai Mara - Isebania Border- Northern Serengeti

After an early breakfast, depart Masai Mara and drive to the Isebania Border to complete immigration formalities as you cross into Tanzania. Once border procedures are finalized, you immediately continue toward Northern Serengeti and begin your game drive straight away.

Today’s focus is positioning near the Mara River crossing points on the Tanzania side. This region forms part of the Great Migration corridor, where wildebeest and zebras move between Kenya and Tanzania in search of fresh grazing. Your guide will strategically track herd movements and head toward active crossing areas.

Expect intense wildlife action as predators such as lions and hyenas patrol the plains, while crocodiles wait in the river channels. The drive continues through open savannah and rolling hills as you follow migration activity before proceeding to your camp later in the afternoon for dinner and overnight.

Day 4

Begin the day with an early sunrise game drive in Northern Serengeti, giving you one final opportunity to witness river crossing action or early morning predator activity along the Mara River. The cooler hours are often the most active, offering dramatic wildlife moments and excellent photography light.

Afterward, continue your journey south toward Central Serengeti with an extended en-route game drive. As the landscape gradually changes, you enter the renowned Seronera region famous for its year-round wildlife and exceptional big cat concentration.

The afternoon is dedicated to exploring prime lion, leopard and cheetah territory, with frequent sightings around kopjes, riverbeds and open plains. Central Serengeti is also home to large elephant herds, giraffes, buffalo and abundant resident wildlife.

Arrive at your camp in the early evening for dinner and overnight in the heart of the Serengeti.

After an early breakfast, depart the Serengeti and drive toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, ascending the scenic highlands before descending 600 meters into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive.

Often referred to as Africa’s “Garden of Eden,” the crater offers one of the highest concentrations of wildlife on the continent. Within this natural caldera, you have an excellent chance of spotting the endangered black rhino, large lion prides, buffalo, elephants, hippos and a wide variety of plains game all within a compact and breathtaking landscape.

Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor surrounded by wildlife before ascending the crater rim in the afternoon. After the game drive, continue to Arusha where you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your unforgettable Kenya–Tanzania safari adventure.
