Upon arrival at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your guide and driver from Peak Ethiopia Tours & Car Rental and transferred to your hotel for rest. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a short city tour of Addis Ababa, exploring highlights such as Entoto Hill, the bustling Merkato Market, or the National Museum of Ethiopia to get an introduction to the city’s culture and history.

Sankaber

After breakfast, take a morning air transfer to Gondar, the historic 17th-century imperial city. Upon arrival, drive to Debark, the gateway to Simien Mountains National Park, then continue to Sankaber, the first campsite (approx. 31 km). Along the way, enjoy your first views of the park’s dramatic landscapes, spotting gelada baboons and soaring Lammergeier vultures.

Geech

After preparing porters and mules to carry your equipment, begin trekking from Sankaber to Geech (5–6 hours). Along the trail, cross the Jinnbar River and take in the park’s spectacular landscapes. Arrive at Geech, known for its towering giant lobelia trees and frequent sightings of Gelada baboons.

Geech

Trek to Imet Gogo, where you will be rewarded with breathtaking 360° panoramic views of the Simien Mountains. Continue to the Seha and Quedadit viewpoints, taking in the dramatic landscapes and enjoying a picnic lunch amid nature. Along the way, look out for unique wildlife, including the rare Simien wolves, Walia ibex, and agile Klipspringers. After an adventurous day, return to Geech for your overnight stay.

Chenek

Trek through fields of giant lobelia and along the edge of the Elate escarpments at 4,000 m, enjoying breathtaking views of the Simien Mountains. Arrive at Chenek, a prime location to spot Walia ibex and Gelada baboons in their natural habitat. The trek takes approximately 6–7 hours, offering stunning landscapes and wildlife encounters along the way.

Start early with a trek to Bwahit Ras (approx. 4,200 m), where you can enjoy spectacular views over the Mesheha Valley and the Ras Dashen range. After taking in the scenery, descend through the valley back to Chenek, experiencing the dramatic landscapes and spotting wildlife along the way. The trek takes approximately 6–7 hours.
