After being picked up from your destination, you will be transferred to Arusha National Park for a memorable walking safari and game drive. Arusha National Park is known for its beautiful scenery, diverse wildlife, and opportunities to explore nature on foot with an experienced guide.

During the visit, you may see colobus monkeys, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of bird species while enjoying the fresh air and stunning landscapes of the park. After the game and walking safari experience, you will drive back to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2

Travel from Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Travel from Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation and begin the journey to Tarangire National Park, about a two and a half hour drive from Arusha on a good tarmac road. The park is named after the Tarangire River, which serves as the main water source for wildlife during the dry season.

Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds that often gather near the river. During the game drive, you may also see giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests and various predators such as lions and leopards. The park is also known for its remarkable birdlife and ancient baobab trees, some believed to be more than a thousand years old.

A picnic lunch will be enjoyed at a designated site inside the park. After the game drive, you will continue your journey to your accommodation in Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.

Journey to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will drive toward the cooler highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, you will stop to enjoy the spectacular views of the Ngorongoro Crater before continuing your journey through the conservation area to the southern part of Serengeti National Park.

Serengeti National Park is famous for its endless plains and incredible wildlife. It is home to a wide variety of animals and is especially known for the great migration, where large numbers of wildebeest, zebra and antelope move across the plains in search of fresh grass and water.

During the day, you will enjoy a picnic lunch before continuing with game viewing. Later, proceed to your accommodation in the Serengeti for dinner and an overnight stay surrounded by the beauty of the park.

After breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and drive toward the famous Ngorongoro Crater, enjoying beautiful landscapes along the way. Upon arrival, descend into the crater for a memorable wildlife game drive.

Ngorongoro Crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, formed more than two million years ago. Surrounded by high volcanic walls, the crater floor features open grasslands, lakes, swamps, and acacia woodlands that support an incredible variety of wildlife.

During the game drive, you may see wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, and many bird species, as well as predators such as lions and hyenas. The crater is also one of the best places in Tanzania to spot the rare black rhino. After the game drive, continue to your accommodation in Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.

This morning, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park, the final destination of your safari. Located about 120 km west of Arusha, the park is small but incredibly diverse. It lies beneath the dramatic Great Rift Valley escarpment and is famous for its beautiful scenery and rich wildlife.

Lake Manyara, a shallow alkaline lake, covers a large part of the park and attracts thousands of birds including flamingos and more than 500 other species. During the game drive, you may also see elephants, large troops of baboons in the forest, and the famous tree climbing lions.
