Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

We’ll start by picking you up from your hotel, where you’ll get to meet your guide, chef, and fellow travelers before setting off on your adventure. From there, we’ll drive about two hours to Tarangire National Park, celebrated for its stunning landscapes and iconic ancient baobab trees. The park is also home to the largest concentration of elephants in Tanzania, offering incredible opportunities to witness the interactions of elephant families in their natural habitat.

Your game drive will take you through the park, following reports of animal sightings. While lions, cheetahs, and leopards are more elusive, you’ll have plenty of chances to see giraffes, wildebeest, and zebras roaming freely.

For lunch, we’ll stop at the Tarangire River picnic site, where you can enjoy a meal with a beautiful view of the river and the wildlife around it. Keep an eye out for playful monkeys and baboons—they might try to steal a snack or two, but they’re completely harmless!

As we leave the fertile highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa — the Serengeti, where endless plains stretch as far as the eye can see.

We’ll head to the central Serengeti, known as the Seronera area, one of the park’s richest wildlife habitats. The Seronera River flows through this region, providing a vital water source that attracts a wide variety of wildlife, giving you a perfect glimpse of the Serengeti’s incredible biodiversity.

Arriving in time for lunch, you’ll then enjoy an afternoon game drive, exploring the park and spotting the amazing animals that call the Serengeti home.

Thanks to a year-round supply of water and lush grazing areas, the crater is home to an incredible variety of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebras, buffalo, eland, warthogs, hippos, and majestic African elephants. The crater also supports a dense population of predators, such as lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the elusive leopard, which often requires a keen eye to spot.

We’ll make a stop at Lake Magadi, a large, shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern part of the crater, where you can usually see hippos, flamingos, and other waterbirds in their natural habitat. In the late afternoon, we will transfer you back to Arusha, dropping you off at your preferred hotel, concluding this unforgettable safari journey.
