5-Day Masai Mara - Lake Naivasha - Lake Nakuru Adventure

Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve

You will be picked up from your hotel/airport/residence early in the morning.
You will begin the journey to Masai Mara with a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint.

Arrive at Masai Mara National Reserve in time for lunch at your lodge. After a brief relaxation, embark on your first game drive in the late afternoon. Be on the lookout for the Big 5, the Maasai giraffes, buffalos, elands, and multiple plain game including impalas, zebras, topi, and gazelles.

Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Masai Mara National Reserve

This day is dedicated to game viewing.
After an early morning breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive inside the reserve. You will stop in the middle of the savannah for a picnic lunch surrounded by nature. Continue game viewing until late in the evening when the gates close.

The Masai Mara is home to an extremely high density of big cats, especially lions. It's one of the best places in the country to catch a glimpse of them. Wildlife is abundant year-round. There are numerous mammal species, amphibians, reptiles, and over 400 bird species recorded on the reserve.

Masai Mara to Lake Naivasha

After breakfast, you can opt for a visit to the Maasai village to learn about their way of life. Please note that charges for this visit are paid directly to the Maasais.

You will then proceed to Lake Naivasha.

Afternoon activities include a boat ride, which gives you an opportunity to see many species of birds and water animals such as hippos up close.

There is also an optional walking safari on Crescent Island, which lies within the lake. Here you can spot herbivores such as zebras, gazelles, and giraffes.

Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, depart from Lake Naivasha and head to the Lake Nakuru National Park.

As you head to your lodge, you will enjoy an introductory game drive.

After lunch, proceed for a game drive with a chance of seeing white and black rhinos, leopards, Rothschild giraffe, among other wildlife. The lake is also home to thousands of flamingoes and many bird species.

Lake Nakuru National Park to Nairobi

Enjoy an early morning game drive in search of animals you may have missed the previous day.
Return to the lodge for breakfast, and then leave for Nairobi.

You will be dropped off at your preferred location, marking the end of this adventurous safari.
