Chimp trekking and Bigodi swamp walk

The day will start with an early morning breakfast at your lodge followed by a transfer to the park offices of Kibale National Park. Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed and then go through a briefing about chimp trekking. Thereafter, you will proceed to the forest to search for the chimpanzees. We are never certain on how long the trek will last but it can take about 3 – 4 hours. Your guide during the trek will share facts about the forest, animals that live there and the surrounding environment. When you spot the chimpanzees, you will spend a maximum of an hour watching them, learning about them and taking photos. Later, you will leave the forest and return to your lodge for lunch.
In the late afternoon, head out to Bigodi swamp for a nature walk. The walk offers another chance to spot some more primates, but mostly rewards with sightings of beautiful bird species. As it comes close to the end of the day, you will return to the lodge, have dinner and relax.
