Begin your adventure with a drive to Lemosho Gate for registration. Trek through dense rainforest with giant trees, colorful birds, and colobus monkeys. The trail is gradual, allowing your body to adjust to altitude as you reach Mti Mkubwa Camp.

Day 2
Mti Mkubwa – Shira 1 Camp
Mti Mkubwa – Shira 1 Camp
Leaving the dense rainforest, the trail climbs through moorland filled with unique giant heathers, lobelias, and volcanic rock formations. Trek across the expansive Shira Plateau, enjoying stunning panoramic views of Kilimanjaro and surrounding landscapes.

Day 3
Shira 1 – Shira 2 Camp

Trek across the vast Shira Plateau for acclimatization, a gentle and scenic hike. This day allows your body to gradually adjust to the high altitude while enjoying expansive views of Kilimanjaro’s alpine landscape, volcanic formations, and surrounding valleys.

Day 4
Shira 2 – Lava Tower – Barranco Camp
Shira 2 – Lava Tower – Barranco Camp
Trek from Shira 2 Camp to the famous Lava Tower at 4,600 m for acclimatization. After reaching this high point, descend to Barranco Camp at 3,960 m. The “climb high, sleep low” method helps your body adjust to altitude. Stunning alpine desert views along the way.

Day 5
Barranco Camp – Karanga Camp

Begin with the iconic Barranco Wall scramble, a challenging but manageable climb with panoramic mountain views. Continue across valleys and ridges as you make your way to Karanga Camp at 4,035 m. This trek strengthens your body for the upcoming summit push.

Day 6
Karanga Camp – Barafu Camp
Karanga Camp – Barafu Camp
Hike from Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp at 4,640 m, the base for your summit attempt. The trail passes rocky, high-altitude terrain with breathtaking scenery. Arrive early to rest, enjoy an early dinner, and mentally prepare for the midnight climb to the summit.

Day 7
Barafu Camp – Summit – Mweka Camp
Barafu Camp – Summit – Mweka Camp
Start your summit climb around midnight. Reach Stella Point and continue to Uhuru Peak at 5,895 m. After celebrating at the top, descend to Mweka Camp, then continue to Mweka Gate to receive your summit certificate and transfer back to Moshi for rest and celebration.
