Day 1

Your 4-day Tanzania camping safari begins with an early departure from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. The park is one of the best wildlife destinations in northern Tanzania and is home to lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffalo, and many bird species. Enjoy a scenic drive through Maasai villages and the beautiful countryside before entering the park for your first game drive. Explore different areas of the Serengeti plains, searching for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and many other animals that make this park one of the richest wildlife habitats in Africa. After an exciting morning safari and picnic lunch, continue your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its unique volcanic landscape and rich wildlife population. After an early breakfast, descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most famous wildlife destinations and often called the Eighth Wonder of the World. The crater floor hosts a remarkable concentration of wildlife including lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeests, and the rare black rhino. Enjoy a half-day game drive exploring the crater’s grasslands, forests, and lake areas where flamingos and hippos can often be seen. The Ngorongoro Crater offers one of the best opportunities to see the Big Five in a single day. Stop for a picnic lunch at a scenic spot inside the crater surrounded by nature and wildlife. In the afternoon, ascend the crater and drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon where your unforgettable Tanzania camping safari ends.
