Day 1

Your 4-day Tanzania mid-range safari begins with an early morning departure from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. The drive takes approximately two hours through scenic Maasai countryside. Upon arrival, enjoy a full game drive in Tarangire, where you may spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, lions, and numerous bird species. The Tarangire River attracts animals throughout the year, making it one of Tanzania’s best wildlife-viewing destinations. Explore different areas of the park in search of the Big Five – lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino as well as many other species that inhabit the Serengeti ecosystem. Large herds of wildebeest and zebras often roam the plains, while predators such as lions and cheetahs patrol the grasslands. After an exciting morning safari, enjoy a picnic lunch before beginning your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, enjoy more wildlife viewing across the Serengeti plains. Arrive at the Ngorongoro Crater rim in the late afternoon, where you can admire breathtaking views of the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera.
