Day 1

Nairobi to Lake Naivasha

Nairobi to Lake Naivasha

You leave Nairobi in the morning and drive through the Great Rift Valley to Lake Naivasha. By midday, you arrive at the lakeshore resort, freshen up and enjoy a boat ride across the calm waters, spotting hippos and a variety of bird species. Lunch and an afternoon guided walk on Crescent Island lets you stroll among giraffes and zebras in a serene setting. As evening falls, you settle into your lodge by the lake for a restful night surrounded by nature.

Day 2

After breakfast, head out toward Lake Nakuru National Park. The short drive brings you to a landscape famous for its flamingos, rhinos, and Rothschild giraffes. Spend the day on game drives, watching lions, buffalo, and antelope, and climb to Baboon Cliff for sweeping views of the lake. Your lodge offers a comfortable night’s stay after a day of wildlife encounters.

The journey continues with a longer drive to the Masai Mara. On arrival, enjoy lunch at your lodge before setting out on your first afternoon game drive. The Mara’s vast plains reveal elephants, lions, and cheetahs roaming freely. As dusk approaches, you return to your lodge or camp, immersed in the sounds of the wilderness.

Rise before dawn for an exhilarating early morning game drive, watching the savannah come alive as predators return from the night’s hunt and herbivores begin their day. Afterward, return to your lodge for breakfast, then set out once more with a packed picnic lunch for a full-day exploration of the Masai Mara. The vast plains stretch endlessly, dotted with wildebeest, zebras and antelope, while lions, cheetahs and other predators roam nearby. At midday, you pause to enjoy your picnic in the heart of the reserve. In the afternoon, you visit a Maasai village, where you are welcomed with traditional dances and gain insight into their culture and way of life.
