Day 1

Arusha to Lake Natron

Your safari begins with a morning departure from Arusha. Travel through the dramatic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley towards Lake Natron, a remote and breathtaking soda lake located at the base of Ol Doinyo Lengai, the only active carbonatite volcano in the world.

Upon arrival, enjoy the stunning scenery and optional walk to nearby waterfalls or flamingo breeding areas. Lake Natron is one of the most important breeding sites for lesser flamingos in East Africa.

Day 2

Lake Natron (Hunting with Hadzabe) to Central Serengeti

Driving Time: 6–7 hours

After breakfast, depart Lake Natron and drive towards the legendary Serengeti National Park. Enter the park through the northern or eastern gate and enjoy a scenic game drive as you head toward the central Serengeti (Seronera area).

This region is known for its year-round wildlife, including lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and large populations of wildebeest.

Day 3

Central Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Driving Time: 4–5 hours (excluding game drives)

After an early breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park while searching for predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards.

Later, continue towards the world-famous Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day wildlife safari. The crater hosts one of the highest densities of wildlife in Africa and offers an excellent chance to spot the Big Five.

After the crater tour, proceed to the Lake Eyasi area.

Early in the morning, visit Lake Eyasi to experience authentic cultural interactions with the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes. Learn about traditional hunting techniques and local ways of life.

Later, drive to Mto wa Mbu village for a cultural walk, where you will experience local farms, markets, and traditional Tanzanian cuisine.

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park for a game drive. The park is famous for its massive baobab trees and large elephant herds, as well as diverse wildlife, including lions, giraffes, zebras, and many bird species.

Enjoy a picnic lunch before returning to Arusha Town / Kilimanjaro Ariport in the afternoon, marking the end of your unforgettable Tanzanian safari.
