Nairobi to Mara; Into the Wild

Your journey begins with a transfer to Wilson Airport, where you’ll board a light aircraft flight to the Mara. As Nairobi fades into the horizon, the landscape transforms into a patchwork of savannah, winding rivers, and trees from a distance; a preview of the magic ahead.

Upon landing, you’ll be met and transferred to the Luxurious Saruni Mara Camp, your home for the next two nights. Set high on a hill with sweeping views, the lodge feels like a hidden sanctuary in the wild.

After settling in, the afternoon invites your first taste of the Mara, perhaps a game drive as the sun begins its slow descent. Wildlife stirs and predators prepare for the night. Your first game drive within the reserve, offering a prime introduction to the region’s abundant wildlife.

Today unfolds at nature’s pace. With full access to the conservancy, your safari experience is flexible and deeply immersive. Early risers can head out at dawn, when the Mara is at its most alive - lions returning from the hunt, elephants moving in soft morning light, and the air crisp with possibility.

Spend the full day immersed in the Maasai Mara ecosystem. The day includes morning and afternoon game drives, allowing you to explore the vast savannahs in search of the Big Five and other iconic species. Your time at Saruni Mara includes all necessary conservancy and park fees, ensuring seamless access to the reserve’s prime wildlife areas.

On this day, you will have an immersive and chilled lunch in the bush.

Later, another game drive awaits, or even a guided bush walk. As evening falls, the beautiful savannah is best enjoyed with a cold drink in hand. Back at camp, dinner is served, with the distant sounds of the wild as your soundtrack.
