Day 1

Your Botswana adventure begins at Maun Airport, where your professional guide and ranger will meet you for a quick 20-minute transfer to the peaceful Boteti Tented Safari Lodge. After checking into your luxury tent, which features en-suite facilities and a private veranda. You can enjoy a refreshing drink and settle in while listening to the sounds of the surrounding bush.

In the late afternoon, you will head out for a signature sunset mokoro safari on the Boteti River. Gliding silently along the water allows for fantastic views of hippos, crocodiles, and various waterbirds. If water levels are low, this activity is replaced with a visit to Xobe Village, where you can watch traditional dances and meet local artisans.

The evening ends with a delicious, traditionally prepared dinner served around an open fire under a clear canopy of stars.

Day 2

Wake up early to the sounds of the African bush and enjoy coffee and rusks before departing for a full-day mokoro safari in the Okavango Delta. This is a truly unique experience as a local guide from the Bayei tribe poles you through crystal-clear, reed-lined channels. Along the way, your guide will share their knowledge of traditional practices and the medicinal uses of local plants.

During the morning, you will stop at a secluded island for a guided nature walk to learn about animal tracking and the local ecosystem. After a picnic lunch in the wild, you will continue exploring the channels, keeping an eye out for elephants, red lechwe, and incredible birdlife.

You will return to the lodge in the late afternoon to watch the sunset over the river before another starlit dinner.

Day 3

After an early breakfast, you will leave the river behind and travel toward the Makgadikgadi Pans, one of the most unique natural wonders in the world. You will enjoy a continental breakfast right on the pans, surrounded by a vast, shimmering landscape of ancient salt flats. Following a scenic drive through this remarkable environment, you will stop at the famous Baines Baobabs for a picnic lunch beneath their massive, historic canopies.

In the afternoon, the journey continues through the Nxai Pans, where you can spot desert-adapted wildlife like springbok and zebra.

As evening approaches, you will arrive at an exclusive bush camp set up right on the pans. You will enjoy a bush dinner around the campfire and spend the night in a dome tent under a brilliant blanket of stars.

For those looking for extra comfort, an upgrade to a tented lodge like Leopard Plains is also available.

Your final day begins with a spectacular sunrise over the open pans, turning the white salt landscape into shades of gold. After a hearty bush breakfast, you will have time for a final exploration of the area or a few last photos of this tranquil environment.

You will then begin the journey back to Maun, arriving by late afternoon for your drop-off at the airport or a preferred local point.
