Day 2

Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Karatu

Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Karatu

After an early breakfast, depart Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania's most spectacular wildlife destinations.

Enjoy a full-day game drive through landscapes of ancient baobab trees, open savannah, and the life-giving Tarangire River. The park is renowned for its large elephant herds and abundant wildlife, including lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, impalas, and over 550 bird species.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon game drive. Later, drive to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart Karatu and travel through the breathtaking Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying spectacular views of the highlands before descending into the endless plains of Serengeti National Park. Arrive in the renowned Seronera Valley, the heart of the Serengeti, in time for lunch at your lodge or camp.

In the afternoon, set out on an exciting game drive through one of Africa's richest wildlife ecosystems. Search for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and vast herds of wildebeests and zebras while taking in the Serengeti's iconic landscapes. Return to your camp at sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.

Between July and October, witness the dramatic Great Migration River Crossing, where hundreds of thousands of wildebeests and zebras brave crocodile-filled waters as they journey between Tanzania and Kenya. Your experienced Seresafari Africa guide will position you at the best viewing points for this unforgettable natural event.

Even outside the migration season, the Northern Serengeti offers exceptional game viewing with resident lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and other wildlife roaming its remote and unspoiled landscapes. After an early breakfast, depart the Northern Serengeti and travel to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa's most remarkable wildlife destinations.

Descend 600 meters into the crater for an unforgettable game drive across its diverse landscapes of grasslands, forests, and soda lakes. The crater is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, spotted hyenas, zebras, wildebeests, and, with a bit of luck, the endangered black rhino. You may also see thousands of flamingos along the shores of Lake Magadi.

After enjoying a picnic lunch on the crater floor, ascend the crater walls and begin your journey back to Arusha, bringing your unforgettable Seresafari Africa Great Migration Safari to a memorable conclusion.
