Scenery road travel to Masai Mara National Reserve

Our driver-guide will report to your hotel for the start of the safari or meet you at the airport on arrival. After greetings, introduction and a short brief about safari, depart for a picturesque drive descending the Great Rift Valley and onwards to Masai Mara, Kenya's famous game reserve. Stop briefly en route at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint to enjoy the stunning views of an enormous valley system said to be visible from outer space. Arrive in Masai Mara in time for lunch. After lunch, we will have an afternoon game drive which will allow spotting of the magnificent wildlife in the park. The reserve is known for providing excellent predator sightings thanks to its relatively large population of lions, cheetahs and leopards. Bordering Tanzania, the Mara is in the northern extension of Serengeti and forms a wildlife corridor between the two countries. You'll return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Explore Masai Mara

On this day you have an option of going for a full day game drive with picnic lunch or have two game drives, one in the morning before breakfast and the other in the late afternoon. You can also opt for an early morning balloon safari over the savannah at an extra cost.
Early mornings and late afternoons are considered the best time to spot animals as they are most active. To get some of the best game viewings of the day, an early start is needed to beat the heat of the sun. This is the time that the big cats are most active and can provide some of the most dramatic photography, thanks to the beautiful lighting. Although it might be tempting to stay in bed and wait until the afternoon to explore, I promise you this is a game drive you don't want to miss. Return to the camp for dinner at the camp.

Return to Nairobi

At the break of dawn and check out, embark on your concluding game drive as you exit the park. You can visit the nearby Maasai village after breakfast to get a chance to see the Maasai way of life (optional. Have a road return to Nairobi. You'll have an onward drop-off transfer to the JKIA for your flight home or at your hotel for your overnight stay.
