Visit the National Museum of Ethiopia, home to the famous early human fossil “Lucy,” then continue to Mount Entoto for panoramic views of the capital. Explore Merkato, the largest open-air market in Africa, and optionally visit Holy Trinity Cathedral, an important religious and historical site. Overnight in Addis Ababa.

After breakfast, drive east from Addis Ababa through the scenic Great Rift Valley, passing volcanic hills, lakes, and traditional rural villages. Early morning visit to Mago National Park to meet the Mursi tribe, famous for their distinctive lip plates and traditional body decoration. Continue driving to Konso, a UNESCO World Heritage cultural landscape known for its terraced hills, ancient agricultural systems, and wooden totem statues called “Waga.” Proceed to Lake Chamo in the afternoon for a boat safari, where you will see large Nile crocodiles, hippos, and diverse birdlife. After the safari, transfer to the airport or connect your flight back to Addis Ababa for departure.
