1-Day Akagera Game Drive and Boat Cruise

• You'll be collected from the airport.

05:00 AM, you will be picked up from your hotel in Kigali

07:30 AM, Arrival & Briefing Upon reaching the southern gate.

9:00AM Boat Cruise on lake Ihema.

10:30AM, After the boat cruise you will begin your exploration by traversing the southern tracks. This area is known for its lush vegetation and proximity to Lake Ihema. Keep your eyes peeled for massive hippos, Nile crocodiles, and a variety of water birds along the shorelines, as well as giraffes and elephants moving through the woodland.

12:30PM, Picnic Lunch with a View and Take a break at one of the park’s designated picnic spots. Descend onto the open savanna plains of the Kilala Valley in the north. This is the prime grazing ground for large herds of buffaloes, zebras, topis, defassa waterbucks, and elands. Keep a sharp eye on the acacia thickets for Akagera’s apex predators lions and leopards as well as the black and white rhinos reintroduced to these plains..

3:00PM, you will be transferred back to Kigali.
