You will be met by our driver guide at your hotel or Entebbe International Airport and transferred west of the Country on a road trip to Kibale forest for an overnight.
The drive from Entebbe to Kibale forest takes 6-8 hours depending on the weather and the traffic.

Have an early breakfast and drive to Kanyanchu visitors centre in Kibale forest national park to attending briefing by 8am to prepare for tracking the habituated Chimpanzees in their natural habitat.
After briefing on the dos and don’ts during chimpanzee chimpanzee tracking, you will join other tourists in groups of 8 and will be led by an armed ranger guide to track the Chimpanzees.
A long the way you will see velvet monkeys, white colobus monkeys, birds, old and giant forests and sometimes forest elephants until you find the chimpanzees.
Chimpanzee tracking takes 2-6 hours depending on where you meet the Chimpanzees. You will be allowed an hour with the chimpanzees after spotting them before returning from the trek in the forest.
Later after lunch, you will go for crater lakes hike to enjoy the beautiful views across Lake Nkuruba and Lake Nyina Mbuga crater lakes on your way to the Rwenzori mountains national park late in the afternoon.

Have an early morning breakfast before checking out of your hotel for transfer to Omukorukumi before hiking through the community of Kasanzi starting off your trek before you enter the Rwenzori mountains national park through the Bukurungu wilderness camping trail.
You will meet your porters and have an interaction as you give away your backpack for carrying.
Proceed hiking with some resting points along the community trail before entering the park to arrive at Kasanzi camp 1km into the tropical forest for a rest.
The climb from Omukorukumi to Kasanzi camp takes 3-5 hours.

Day 4

After a hot breakfast depart for Kambeho camp (Kambeho means a place of coldness in Lhukonzo) also locally known as Lhume camp named after River Lhume.
Getting to this camp takes you through the heather trees (Ericathiasis) with lots of moss hanging - over these trees like the old man beard.
Kambeho camp lies in the heather zone which is characterized by views of hanging valleys and it is through the same zone where both varieties of monkeys can be met- The black colubus monkeys, Black and white, and Vavet monkeys. It is the zone of the Rwenzori Turracco, a rare beautiful bird in the park
Arrive at Kambeho camp in the late afternoon for hot drink, dinner and an overnight.

Early morning leave Kambeho camp after a somewhat cold night climbing along River Lhume taking the Mughuli pass the only steep bypass on the trail.
After a steep climb on Mughuli bypass descend down past Lake Mughuli which is within a strong MTN network service to allow you catch up with some mobile phone calls before proceeding to Lamia camp.
There are several unnamed beautiful peaks which can easily be climbed by those interested as they acclimatize for climbing the Portal peaks and Mount Gessi. Around the camp, you can easily explore the water falls which gives the real taste of the Rwenzori mountains waters. Overnight at Lamia camp.

Leave Lamia camp heading to join the Central circuit trail crossing Bujuku River at the start of the Lower Bigo bog, the walk is an exhilarating experience giving you a blend off the wilderness to a spectacular views of the rocks in the Rwenzoris.
Arrive at Bigo hut late in the afternoon for an overnight.

This is your last day along the Bukurungu Rwenzori mountains climbing route joining the Central circuit trail at the beginning of the lower Bigo bog before crossing River Bujuku.
Descend down from Lamia camp down past the Bukurungu lakes before reaching the Bujuku River bridge on the lower Bigo walk boards.
Climb gently past Bigo camp to reach the Upper Bigo bog, proceed with a gentle climb to Lake Bujuku. Trek for about an hour through the bog around Lake Bujuku to reach Bujuku camp at 3,962 m asl for an overnight and preparing for your summit of Mount Speke.

Wake up at 2 am to ascend Mount Speke to summit Vittorio Emanuelle peak 4,890m asl.
After summit descend down to Bujuku camp for a hot lunch and a rest. You can opt for a guided walk around in case you intend to capture shots of the mountain ranges and the lakes views.

Have an early morning breakfast and start off your hike to the summit camp for Mount Stanley.
The hike from Bujuku hut to Irene camp moves right wards north of Lake Bujuku.
Take a steep climb to reach the afro alpine vegetation and bare rocks.
Have a rest with a hot meal as you prepare to go for gear check and one last training on use of technical gear.
Overnight at the camp.

Have an early morning breakfast and start trekking up to summit Margherita peak, have a photo moment to celebrate and keep memories of reaching the highest point in Uganda.
Descend down via the margherita glacier to Elena hut for a hot lunch and some rest.
After resting continue your descend down to Lower Lake Kitandara camp for an overnight as you wait to summit Mount Baker.

The ascend starts early morning from Kitandara Camp through Fresh Field pass (4215m asl.) with views of DR Congo up to Edward peak.
Ascend Duration: 5 – 6 hours. Elevation height: 413m
From Edward peak descend back to Fresh Field pass and then proceed descending back to the lower Lake Kitandara camp arriving late in the afternoon for an overnight.
Descend duration: 4 – 5 hours.

From Kitandara, take on the trail that ascends steeply up the headwall, spreading out from the base of Mount Baker and continuing along the south side of the mountain to Fresh field Pass 4282m asl. At this point you can view into the Congo to the west and Mount Stanley to the north. From the pass, take on the long high alpine mossy. Thereafter start the descend through steep rocky trails and the rock shelter at Bujongolo, the base camp for the historic expedition by the Duke of Abruzzi in 1906 and then an overnight at Guy yeoman camp.
Hike duration: 6 – 7 hours.

Below Guy Yeoman, the route descends the cliffs of Kichuchu. Beyond Kichuchu the muddy path crosses the Mubuku River twice through a bamboo forest before climbing downwards to Nyabitaba to complete the circuit. Descend back to Nyabitaba Camp and then Mihunga gate to be picked by your driver guide for an overnight in Kasese town.
Descent duration: 7 – 8 hours.

Have an early morning breakfast and check out of your accommodation for a transfer to Bwindi forest for your gorilla trekking adventure in the misty hills of southern Uganda.
Drive through Queen Elizabeth national park crossing the Kazinga channel to continue southwards arriving in the late afternoon.

You will have an early morning breakfast and thereafter be transferred by your driver guide to the park headquarters where park rangers will brief you about the regulations for gorilla trekking in Bwindi national park and also you will be divided into a group of 8 visitors. You will be led by a ranger to start trekking of these gentle giants. After you encounter these gentle giants, you are allowed to spend an hour with these magnificent mountain gorillas close up in their natural habitat. Principally hikers will love the trek in the beautiful ecosystem of the park. But overall, this will be a unique and unforgettable experience!
After the gorilla trek, you will be given a certificate for succeeding a gorilla trek in Uganda/bwindi
After an afternoon rest, you will go for a walk in the community to experience the life of the local community.

After an early morning breakfast, you will then embark on your return journey from this amazing Bwindi gorilla trekking safari driving through Mbarara and on a lucky day you may have a chance to see zebras and impalas through Lake Mburo national park back to your hotel in Entebbe for an overnight before catching your flight back home the next morning.
Around Entebbe you can visit the Juacalicentre for African crafts and souvenirs if you didn’t get yourself one in Bwindi and Kasese.
