1-Day Murchison Falls NP Safari with Nile Boat Cruise

Your driver-guide picks you up at 3:00 AM for a scenic drive through the Luwero corridor, with a briefing en route. The northern bank of Murchison Falls National Park offers excellent early morning game viewing. From a 4x4 with a pop-up roof, you explore savannah and woodland landscapes rich in wildlife. Common sightings include lions, elephants, Nubian giraffes, Cape buffalo, Uganda kob. Other animals like leopards, waterbuck, oribi, warthogs, hyenas, and baboons may also appear. The area is also great for birdwatching.

After lunch near the Nile in Paraa, take a 2–3 hour boat cruise upstream to the base of Murchison Falls.

Along the way, see hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and abundant birdlife. After the boat cruise, visit the Top of the Falls for a short 10–15 minute walk to a viewpoint above the gorge, offering dramatic views of the Nile plunging 43 meters and great photo opportunities.

Afterward, begin the scenic return drive to Kampala.
