Day 1

Nairobi - Maasai Mara

Nairobi - Maasai Mara

Depart Nairobi early headed towards Maasai -mara the winding road narrowing as you approach the escarpment opening up to spectacular views of the Great Rift Valley. Stop at a view-point for a photoshoot and souvenir shopping from a nearby craft shop before proceeding

Open countryside dotted with homesteads and Maasai herders moving cattle across the plains appear as you get closer to Mara presenting a glimpse of the local customs. Arrive in time for sumptuous lunch and rest enjoying beautiful views from the deck of your luxury lodge designed to blend with the serene set up of this side of the reserve

As the overhead sun cools off and the savannah awakens embark on an evening game drive tracking wildlife across the open grasslands. Spot lions circling herds waiting for the right opportunity to strike and enjoy beautiful sightings as elephant families march in close groups with calves staying tightly around adults in a calm protective formation. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 2

Maasai Mara

Maasai Mara

Start with early morning breakfast in readiness for a full day of game action then immerse in the bush at the golden hour when lions are feasting on night-time catch or hunting along swamps where antelopes come to drink

Exploring deeper into the bush for the elusive leopards later heading to the famous Mara River where hippos and crocodiles co-exist in a respectful natural order. During the Great Migration season, huge herds gather along the river banks attempting instinct driven crossings in search of fresh pasture as predators lurk beneath the bank and along the edges

Enjoy a once in a lifetime picnic in the bush surrounded by the sights and sounds of the wild before continuing your game drive in search of more action as predator and prey seek to out do each other in a bid to survive. Between July - October you can track the migrating herds or wait patiently by the river to try out your luck as herds of wildebeest prepare for a crossing before returning to lodge for overnight stay.

Day 3

Maasa Mara - Nairobi

Maasa Mara - Nairobi

Wake up to a calm morning in the Mara and enjoy a hearty breakfast as the sun rises over the savannah. From camp, watch the first light spread across the plains creating perfect photo moments as wildlife begins to move in the distance and the landscape slowly comes to life. After breakfast check out and begin your exit from the reserve with a relaxed en-route game drive with lucky encounters as you bid the Mara goodbye collecting afew more memories to add on to your album

Upon exiting visit a nearby Maasai village where you will be welcomed into the community village with a traditional dance and introduced to their customs including homestead structure, daily routines and cultural practices passed down through generations.

After the visit begin your journey back to Nairobi with several stops along the way for refreshments, bathroom breaks and souvenir shopping at roadside stalls and craft centres.

Arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon marking the end of your safari experience.
