Nairobi to Masai Mara

Upon your early morning arrival at the airport, you will be met by our representative and begin a scenic journey to Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s most spectacular wildlife destinations. Famous for its endless plains and remarkable concentration of wildlife, the reserve offers a truly authentic safari experience where animals roam freely in their natural environment. As part of the greater Serengeti ecosystem, the Maasai Mara is also renowned for the annual Great Migration, during which large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles travel across the plains.

On arrival, you will check in at your lodge or camp and enjoy lunch followed by some time to relax. In the late afternoon, you will set out on your first game drive through the vast savannah landscapes. This exciting safari experience offers opportunities to spot a variety of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, and the famous big cats in their natural habitat.

Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you will depart for an exciting full-day safari adventure in Maasai Mara National Reserve with packed lunch boxes, giving you ample time to explore different areas of the reserve throughout the day. The Mara is well known for its abundant wildlife, rolling grasslands, and the iconic black-maned lions that roam the plains. With a bit of luck, it is possible to encounter the famous Big Five during a single game drive, making the experience even more memorable.

The reserve is also home to a large population of cheetahs, which are often spotted resting in the open grasslands or near safari tracks. These graceful predators are generally comfortable around safari vehicles and are sometimes seen using them as shade or elevated observation points while watching for potential prey across the savannah.

Masai Mara To Nairobi

Your last day in Maasai Mara National Reserve begins with a leisurely breakfast at Mara Serena, set along the scenic Talek River and surrounded by the natural sounds of the African bush. If time allows, you may head out for an early morning game drive, giving you a final chance to experience the reserve’s remarkable wildlife as the plains come alive with activity at sunrise.

Following the drive, you will return to the camp for a late brunch and some free time to unwind, enjoy the camp facilities, or admire the peaceful river views. It is also an ideal opportunity to look back on the memorable safari moments and extraordinary wildlife encounters experienced throughout your stay, from sightings of the Big Five to the vast herds roaming the open savannah.
