Your Mara adventure begins with a morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or airport. The drive south takes you through sweeping highland scenery before descending the dramatic Great Rift Valley escarpment, one of Africa's most breathtaking geological panoramas. A perfect first photo moment.
By 1:00 PM you arrive at Zebra Plains Mara Camp, deep in the Masai Mara ecosystem. Check in to your Savannah Room and enjoy a full lunch as the African bush settles around you.
At 3:30 PM your private game drive begins. The Mara's iconic open plains come alive in the golden afternoon light - lions on patrol, elephants crossing the savannah, cheetahs scanning from termite mounds, and vast herds of zebra and wildebeest gathering as the Great Migration builds momentum. Zebra Plains sits right at the heart of the action.
Return to camp as the sun dips below the horizon. Dinner under the African stars and overnight at Zebra Plains.

Rise before dawn for an early breakfast as the Mara awakens around you. By 6:30 AM your private game drive is underway — this is the Mara at its most electric. Lion prides return from their night hunts, cheetah mothers lead their cubs across the open plains, and leopards retreat into the riverine woodland as daylight breaks.
Zebra Plains sits at the epicentre of the Great Wildebeest Migration. Your expert guide positions the vehicle at the Mara River crossing points — where thousands of wildebeest and zebras nervously gather before plunging into crocodile-filled waters in one of nature's most raw and breathtaking spectacles. This is the moment that defines a safari.
A gourmet picnic lunch is served in the bush — surrounded by wildlife with the savannah stretching to the horizon. The afternoon drive continues through the Mara's finest game corridors until early evening.
Return to Zebra Plains for sundowners and a full dinner under the stars. Overnight.

Wake up to the sounds of the African bush for the last time. Enjoy a leisurely full breakfast at Zebra Plains Mara Camp as the morning light settles over the savannah and the wildlife begins its daily rhythm around you.
After breakfast, check out and bid farewell to the Mara. Your private vehicle departs for Nairobi — a scenic drive north through the Maasai plains and up the dramatic Great Rift Valley escarpment, with one final sweeping view across the valley floor.
Stop for lunch at a restaurant en route before continuing to Nairobi. Arrive back in the city by mid-afternoon, dropped off at your hotel or JKIA for your onward journey.
The Mara stays with you long after you leave.
