Gorilla Tracking

Gorilla Tracking

After an early breakfast, transfer to the national park offices for registration and a briefing before your gorilla trekking experience begins. You’ll be allocated a gorilla family and joined by an experienced guide, who will explain what to expect and share the required safety guidelines.

From there, head to the trailhead and begin your trek through Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The walk can take between 2 and 8 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location, and may include steep, muddy terrain, so a reasonable level of fitness is recommended.

Once the gorillas are found, you’ll spend up to one unforgettable hour observing them in their natural habitat as they feed, rest, move and interact.

Please bring your passport, waterproof hiking boots, a light rain jacket, long pants, long sleeves, water, snacks and camera protection.
