Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Depart Entebbe and begin the scenic journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for hosting nearly half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas in Southwestern Uganda. The drive offers breathtaking views of rolling hills, traditional homesteads, lush plantations, and the beautiful Ugandan countryside.

Enjoy an en-route stop at the Equator crossing for photography and souvenir shopping before continuing through the spectacular landscapes often referred to as the “Switzerland of Africa.” Guests will experience changing scenery from urban centers to terraced hills and tropical rainforest regions.

Check into your lodge for an evening of resting in anticipation of Gorilla Trekking.

Gorilla Trekking and Batwa Cultural Experience

After breakfast, proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on the unforgettable gorilla trekking experience through the dense rainforests of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The trek takes between 2–8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas, rewarding visitors with an extraordinary close encounter with one of the habituated mountain gorilla families in their natural habitat. Guests enjoy one magical hour observing the gorillas as they feed, groom, play, and interact, making it one of the world’s greatest wildlife experiences.

After lunch and relaxation at the lodge, proceed for the Batwa cultural encounter. The Batwa, known as the original guardians of the forest, share their rich heritage through traditional storytelling, cultural dances, hunting demonstrations, medicinal plant knowledge, and insights into their ancient forest lifestyle. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Transfer to Entebbe Airport and Departure

After breakfast, check out and begin the return journey to Entebbe. Enjoy scenic stopovers along the way for photography, refreshments, and souvenir shopping. Guests may enjoy optional local coffee experiences and panoramic countryside views as they travel back through Uganda’s beautiful landscapes. Upon arrival in Entebbe, proceed directly to Entebbe International Airport for your outbound international flight.
