Your driver guide from Iriza Tours & Safaris will welcome you upon arrival at the airport or pick you up from your hotel in Kigali. Begin the journey with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial to learn about Rwanda’s history and resilience following the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi.
After the visit, continue through Rwanda’s scenic countryside toward the Uganda border and proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. Upon arrival at your lodge, check in and relax before dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2
Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters with your packed lunch for a briefing on gorilla trekking guidelines. You will then join a small group led by experienced guides and rangers to track one of Bwindi’s habituated gorilla families deep within the rainforest.
The trek can take between 30 minutes and several hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Once located, spend one unforgettable hour observing these gentle giants in their natural habitat.
After the trekking experience, return to the starting point and continue your journey back into Rwanda to Volcanoes National Park. Arrive at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Golden Monkey Trekking and Return to Kigali
Following breakfast, head to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing before starting your golden monkey trekking experience. Venture into the bamboo forests where these rare and energetic primates can be seen jumping through the trees and feeding along the forest edges.
After spending time with the golden monkeys, return to the lodge for lunch before driving back to Kigali. Drop-off can be arranged at the airport or your hotel depending on your departure plans. This marks the end of your 3-day Uganda Gorilla Trekking and Rwanda Golden Monkey Safari.
