Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your adventure begins as you leave Arusha behind and head into the wild beauty of Tarangire National Park, a place famous for its ancient baobab trees, golden grasslands, and some of the largest elephant herds in Tanzania. This is the kind of landscape that makes you feel like you have truly arrived in Africa. As you drive deeper into the park, the Tarangire River draws life from every direction, and your first full day of safari may bring encounters with elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeest, impalas, gazelles, hartebeest and a rich variety of birds. There is always a feeling of anticipation here, as predators also move quietly through the bush. Day 3

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

You’ll wake early for a sunrise game drive in the Serengeti, one of the most magical times to be out in the bush. The air is cool, the light is soft, and the wilderness feels alive with possibility. This is when predators are often still active, and every turn can reveal something extraordinary. You may spot lions returning from a hunt, wildebeest and zebra gathering on the plains, or, depending on the season, part of the great migration moving through the landscape. After an exciting morning, you’ll enjoy brunch, pack your luggage, and continue with an en-route game drive as you leave the Serengeti behind and journey toward Ngorongoro. The drive itself remains part of the safari, with more chances for wildlife sightings along the way. By late afternoon, you’ll reach the crater rim, where the air feels cooler and the views become dramatic and unforgettable. Dinner and overnight at the campsite will set the stage for the final chapter of your adventure.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After an early breakfast, you’ll descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a thrilling morning game drive in one of the most remarkable wildlife havens in Africa. Often described as a natural wonder, the crater is home to an extraordinary concentration of animals and offers one of the best chances in Tanzania to spot the Big Five. As you explore the crater floor, you may encounter lions, elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, wildebeest, zebras, warthogs, baboons, hippos, and, with luck, even the rare black rhino. The setting itself is breathtaking, with towering crater walls enclosing lakes, grasslands, and swamps in a world that feels almost untouched. You’ll enjoy a picnic lunch near the famous hippo pool, where the views and atmosphere make for a memorable final stop in the bush. After your crater safari, you’ll ascend back to the rim and drive to Arusha, arriving in the evening with unforgettable memories of four extraordinary days in Tanzania’s wild north.
