Armed with binoculars, your morning begins with birding around the vlei, spotting vivid racket-tailed rollers, Bradfield's hornbills and elegant grey crowned cranes wading through the morning mist. As the sun rises, you step off the vehicle for a thrilling walking safari. Guided by an armed scout, you feel the crunch of the earth beneath your boots, learn to decipher fresh leopard tracks, and experience the adrenaline rush of viewing a distant elephant herd entirely on foot. By midday, the action moves to the camp's famous underground hide. Reached via a secret tunnel, this bunker puts you at water-level. You sit safely inches away from massive elephant feet, hearing them guzzle water and rumble in the mud. Your afternoon waterhole safari continues from the shaded deck, watching zebras and kudus risk a sip. The day ends with dinner under the stars as lions roar in the distance.

Start your day at 6:00 AM with coffee on your veranda as the sun rises over the Hwange bush. At 7:00 AM, gather at the communal table for a full cooked breakfast, watching elephants visit the waterhole one last time. After checking out at 8:00 AM, enjoy a 45-minute game drive through the private concession to the main gate. Here, step into a comfortable, air-conditioned transfer vehicle. The 3.5-hour drive north along the tarmac highway takes you through rural villages and scenic landscapes. Your driver will provide cold water and optional restroom stops. You will arrive at Victoria Falls Airport around 12:30 PM, perfectly timed for check-in, a light lunch at the terminal café and your afternoon flight home.
