Our safari begins with a flight from Kenneth Kaunda International Airport to Mfuwe Airport, followed by a transfer through the Luangwa Valley to Tafika Camp for a four-night stay.
Set on the east bank of the Luangwa River near the Nsefu sector, Tafika Camp offers an intimate safari experience surrounded by sausage and leadwood trees. Spacious chalets and a private hide overlooking the waterhole provide excellent wildlife viewing opportunities.
Activities include guided game drives, walking safaris, mountain bike safaris, and visits to Mkasanga Village. The area is especially known for leopard sightings, while elephants, puku, bushbuck, and abundant birdlife are regularly seen. Evenings feature sundowners, night drives, and dinners under the stars in the heart of the African bush.

Takwela Main Camp, North Luangwa Park

From Tafika Camp, you will transfer to the airstrip for a short charter flight over the Luangwa Valley to Takwela Camp, where you will spend the next three nights.
Set on private land at the meeting point of the Luangwa and Mwaleshi Rivers, Takwela Camp offers an intimate wilderness experience with just four en-suite chalets overlooking a resident hippo pod. Days are spent on guided game drives and walking safaris through remote bush landscapes rich in wildlife and birdlife.
Between activities, relax at camp with views over the river, enjoy fresh meals from the camp garden, and unwind on your verandah while watching hippos below. Evenings include sundowners, night drives for nocturnal wildlife sightings, candlelit dinners by the river, and nights filled with the sounds of the African wilderness.
