Day 2

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your Kilipath African Safaris guide will pick you up from your accommodation and begin the journey to Tarangire National Park. Renowned for its vast elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and abundant wildlife, Tarangire offers a truly memorable safari experience. As you explore the park, keep an eye out for giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, antelopes, lions, leopards, and a remarkable variety of birdlife. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in the heart of the park, surrounded by the beauty of the African wilderness. Following an exciting game drive, you will continue to Karatu, where you will check in to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will journey through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying breathtaking views of the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater along the way. Continuing onward, you will travel to the iconic Serengeti National Park, Tanzania’s most celebrated wildlife destination.

Renowned for its endless plains and extraordinary wildlife, the Serengeti offers some of the finest game-viewing opportunities in Africa. Depending on the season, you may witness part of the Great Migration, where thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and antelopes move across the plains in search of fresh grazing lands.

After a picnic lunch en route, you will enjoy a game drive as you make your way to Central Serengeti. The day concludes with dinner and an overnight stay at a luxury tented camp, surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African wilderness.

Today is dedicated entirely to exploring the breathtaking plains of the Serengeti on exciting game drives. Renowned for its incredible wildlife density, the Serengeti is home to vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, impalas, buffaloes, crocodiles, and hippos. The park also offers excellent opportunities to spot Africa’s most iconic predators, including lions, cheetahs, and leopards, in their natural habitat.

You may choose to enjoy early morning and late afternoon game drives, returning to the camp during the hottest part of the day for a relaxing lunch and some leisure time. Alternatively, you can embark on a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch served in the heart of the park, allowing you to maximize your wildlife viewing experience. After breakfast, you will travel to the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, enjoying beautiful scenery and wildlife sightings along the way. Upon arrival, you will descend into the crater for an afternoon game drive before continuing to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Known as one of Africa’s greatest natural wonders, the Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Its diverse habitats support an abundance of wildlife, including wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, buffaloes, hippos, and over 500 bird species. The crater also offers one of the best opportunities to spot the endangered black rhino in its natural habitat.
