Zanzibar - Mikumi National park

You depart early from Zanzibar by flight to Mikumi (either direct or via Dar es Salaam depending on the schedule). On arrival, your safari guide meets you and you proceed straight into Mikumi National Park for a short afternoon game drive. This first drive gives you a quick introduction to the park’s wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and various antelope species across the open savannah.

Game Drive in Mikumi National Park

After breakfast at Tan-Swiss Lodge, you depart with a packed lunch for a full-day game drive inside Mikumi National Park. The focus is the Mkata floodplain, where wildlife is highly concentrated and easy to spot in open grasslands. You spend the day tracking large herds of elephants, giraffes, wildebeest, zebras, and possibly predators like lions or hyenas. Lunch is served at a designated picnic site inside the park.

Morning Safari + Optional Cultural Experience
