The earlier you descend, the greater your chances of spotting the rare black rhino – a prized sighting. The crater floor reveals prides of lions, herds of buffaloes, large-tusked elephants, leopards, and countless other species. Lake Magadi's shimmering waters attract flamingos and hippos. After a picnic lunch beside the famous hippo pool, you continue exploring until the afternoon, when you ascend the crater walls and return to your lodge.
