The journey begins in Nairobi, either by road (about 5–6 hours) the route often passes through the scenic Great Rift Valley with stops for photography.
On arrival at your lodge or tented camp, you check in, have lunch, and rest briefly before heading out for an afternoon game drive. This first drive is usually focused on familiarizing yourself with the landscape and spotting common wildlife such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, and possibly lions or cheetahs. The evening ends with dinner and overnight stay at your accommodation inside or near the reserve.

Day 2

The day starts early with a sunrise game drive, when predators are most active. This is a prime time to see lions hunting, leopards resting in trees, and hyenas moving across the plains.
After breakfast, you continue exploring deeper parts of the reserve, often heading toward the Mara River, which is known for hippos, crocodiles, and dramatic river crossings during migration season. A picnic lunch is usually taken in the bush to maximize time in the field.
In the late afternoon, another game drive is conducted before returning to camp for dinner and relaxation around a campfire.

The third day focuses on both wildlife and cultural experiences. A morning game drive offers another chance to track the Big Five and spot animals such as cheetahs, buffalo, and elephants in different areas of the reserve.
In the afternoon, you may visit a traditional Maasai village (optional), where you can learn about local customs, housing structures, beadwork, and traditional dances. Alternatively, you can opt for a hot-air balloon safari at dawn (at extra cost), which provides aerial views of the savannah and wildlife.
The evening is typically spent at leisure at your camp, enjoying dinner and sunset views.

Day 4
Return to Nairobi
Return to Nairobi
After breakfast, you check out and begin your return journey to Nairobi by road or flight, marking the end of your safari experience. You will have a stop over at the great rift valley stop over. You will arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon for a drop off at the airport or your hotel of accommodation.
