Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania's most scenic wildlife destinations. Renowned for its ancient baobab trees, vast savannahs, and one of the largest elephant populations in East Africa, Tarangire offers exceptional game viewing throughout the year. Enjoy a full-day game drive as you search for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, warthogs, impalas, and, with a bit of luck leopards and cheetahs. Bird enthusiasts can also spot a variety of colorful species. Pause for a picnic lunch in the park while taking in the stunning surroundings before continuing your wildlife adventure. In the late afternoon, drive to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Lake Eyasi Cultural Experience

After an early breakfast, travel to the remote shores of Lake Eyasi for an authentic cultural experience unlike any other in Tanzania. Join the Hadzabe, one of Africa's last remaining hunter-gatherer communities, on a traditional morning hunting excursion and gain insight into their unique way of life. Continue to visit the Datoga people, renowned for their blacksmithing skills and rich cultural traditions, where you will learn about their customs and daily activities. Enjoy opportunities to interact with local families, observe traditional craftsmanship, and appreciate the breathtaking landscapes surrounding the seasonal soda lake, home to flamingos and other birdlife. After this enriching experience, return to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.
