Depending on your arrival time, you may embark on an optional Kigali City Tour, where you'll explore some of the city's top attractions, including the Kigali Genocide Memorial, Kimironko Market, the Kigali Convention Centre, local art galleries, and vibrant craft markets. This tour offers a great introduction to Rwanda's history, culture, and modern development. Return to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2

After an early breakfast, depart Kigali and drive to Akagera National Park, Rwanda’s only savannah national park and a haven for diverse wildlife. Upon arrival, begin an exciting game drive across the park’s scenic landscapes of savannah plains, woodlands, and wetlands. Keep an eye out for some of Africa’s iconic wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, lions, hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species.
After the game drive, enjoy lunch before heading out for an afternoon boat safari on Lake Ihema. The boat trip offers a unique opportunity to view hippos, crocodiles, and water birds up close while enjoying the beautiful scenery of Rwanda’s largest protected wetland system. Upon arrival in Nyungwe, experience the famous Canopy Walk, an exhilarating adventure taking you high above the forest floor on a suspended bridge. From the walkway, enjoy spectacular views of the lush rainforest canopy and the opportunity to spot different bird species, butterflies, and primates moving through the treetops. Later, transfer to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay near Nyungwe National Park.
