Your adventure begins with a morning flight from Zanzibar directly to the heart of the Central Serengeti, landing at the Seronera airstrip. Here, your private Serengeti Steppe guide will be waiting to welcome you and begin your safari in a comfortable 4x4 vehicle.

There is no need to wait for the wilderness to unfold; you will head straight out on your first game drive through the iconic Seronera River Valley, one of the Serengeti’s richest wildlife areas Keep watch for resident lion prides resting in the shade, elusive leopards draped across acacia branches, and cheetahs surveying the open savannah for their next opportunity.

As afternoon turns to evening and the Serengeti is bathed in warm golden light, continue your game drive before making your way to camp. Spend a thrilling morning exploring the iconic Seronera Valley in Central Serengeti, one of Tanzania’s most renowned wildlife areas. Its permanent water sources sustain an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, offering excellent opportunities to encounter lions, elusive leopards, and cheetahs moving across the open plains. Keep an eye out for lions resting on the ancient granite kopjes that rise dramatically from the surrounding savannah.

After a rewarding morning of wildlife encounters, enjoy a scenic picnic lunch in the heart of the wilderness before continuing east toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you leave the endless Serengeti plains behind, the landscape gradually transforms into rolling hills and lush, misty highlands.

Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon and settle in for a comfortable evening, enjoying dinner and the cooler highland atmosphere as you prepare for tomorrow’s descent into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha & Flight to Zanzibar

Rise early and descend approximately 600 metres into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, a vast volcanic caldera and one of Africa’s most extraordinary wildlife sanctuaries. As you reach the crater floor, the landscape opens into a remarkable mosaic of grasslands, acacia woodland, wetlands, and shimmering lakes, all enclosed by towering crater walls.

Spend the morning on a game drive in search of the crater’s abundant wildlife. This exceptional ecosystem offers one of Tanzania’s best opportunities to encounter the Big Five, with the endangered black rhino among its most prized sightings. Large prides of lions, buffaloes, elephants, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and an abundance of birdlife complete the spectacular scene.

After a memorable picnic lunch on the crater floor, begin your ascent and continue to Arusha. From here, you will be transferred to the airport for your scheduled return flight to Zanzibar.
