Touch down in the heart of the Serengeti with a morning flight from Zanzibar to a private airstrip in Central Serengeti. As the landscape changes from the turquoise waters of Zanzibar to the endless plains of Tanzania’s most famous wilderness, anticipation builds for the adventure ahead.

On arrival, meet your private Serengeti Steppe guide and board your comfortable 4x4 safari vehicle for the journey into the Seronera Valley. Known for its year-round wildlife and abundant water sources, this central region is one of the Serengeti’s most rewarding areas for game viewing. Begin the morning with a thrilling game drive through the iconic Seronera Valley in Central Serengeti, one of Tanzania’s most celebrated wildlife regions. The valley’s permanent water sources attract an extraordinary variety of animals year-round, making it an exceptional place to search for lions, elusive leopards, and cheetahs hunting across the open plains.

After a rewarding morning of wildlife encounters, pause for a delicious picnic lunch surrounded by the vast Serengeti landscape before continuing your journey eastward. Gradually, the endless plains give way to rolling hills and the lush, misty highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Rise early for a descent into the Ngorongoro Crater, dropping approximately 600 metres into one of Africa’s most extraordinary natural wonders. The crater is home to an exceptional concentration of wildlife, with more than 25,000 large mammals inhabiting its grasslands, forests, and wetlands.

Spend the morning exploring the crater floor in search of its famous wildlife. The crater offers an excellent opportunity to encounter the Big Five, including the endangered black rhino and impressive lion prides. Buffaloes, elephants, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and numerous bird species add to the extraordinary diversity of the crater.

Enjoy a scenic picnic lunch surrounded by the crater walls before beginning your ascent. From the crater highlands, continue to Arusha, where you will be transferred to the airport for your scheduled flight back to Zanzibar.
