Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional driver-guide, who will brief you about your upcoming adventure before beginning the scenic drive to Nyungwe National Park in southwestern Rwanda.
The journey takes you through Rwanda's beautiful countryside, where rolling green hills, terraced farms, charming villages, and tea plantations showcase why the country is known as the "Land of a Thousand Hills." Along the way, you'll stop for lunch at a local restaurant before continuing to Nyungwe.
You will arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon, allowing time to relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings before dinner.

Day 2
Chimpanzee Tracking

After an early breakfast, head to Uwinka Park Headquarters for a briefing by Rwanda Development Board rangers before beginning your chimpanzee tracking adventure in the ancient Nyungwe Forest. Trek through one of Africa's oldest rainforests for 2–5 hours, discovering its rich biodiversity, including numerous primate species, colorful birds, butterflies, and lush vegetation. Once you locate the chimpanzees, enjoy a memorable hour observing their playful behavior and social interactions in their natural habitat. After lunch, depart for the scenic shores of Lake Kivu, where you'll unwind at your lakeside accommodation and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.

Day 3
Transfer to Lake Kivu
Transfer to Lake Kivu
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast overlooking the tranquil waters of Lake Kivu, one of Africa's Great Lakes and among the continent's most scenic freshwater destinations.
Today is dedicated to relaxation and optional activities at your own pace. You may choose to take a scenic boat cruise to explore nearby islands, swim in the lake's safe and bilharzia-free waters, visit a local coffee plantation to learn about Rwanda's renowned coffee production, enjoy a guided village walk for cultural interaction, or simply unwind by the lakeshore while taking in the spectacular views.
Lunch will be served at the hotel before you spend the remainder of the afternoon relaxing or participating in additional optional activities.
As evening approaches, enjoy another peaceful sunset over Lake Kivu before dinner.

Day 4
Lake Kivu to Kigali
Lake Kivu to Kigali
After breakfast, you'll depart Lake Kivu and travel back to Kigali, enjoying the scenic drive through Rwanda's picturesque countryside.
Depending on your flight schedule, you may enjoy an optional Kigali city tour. Highlights can include a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, which provides important insight into Rwanda's history and remarkable journey of reconciliation, exploring the vibrant Kimironko Market, or browsing local craft shops for handmade souvenirs and gifts.
After the tour—or directly if time is limited—you will be transferred to Kigali International Airport for your onward flight, bringing your memorable Rwandan adventure to a close.
