Nairobi - Samburu National Reserve

You will be picked up from your Nairobi hotel early in the morning. We drive north, passing the equator where we will stop for a brief ceremony and photos. As we continue, the landscape changes to the semi-arid plains of the Northern Frontier District. We arrive at Samburu National Reserve in time for lunch at our camp. After checking in, we relax for a bit before heading out for our first afternoon game drive. We return to the lodge before sunset for dinner and a good night's rest.

Samburu National Reserve

We begin the day with breakfast at the campsite then proceed with picnic lunch for a full day game drive in the park.
The Ewaso Ng'iro river is the lifeline of the park, attracting herds of elephants, lions, leopards, and countless water birds. We will specifically look for the "Special Five," which are unique to this region. In the evening, you may have the opportunity to visit a local Samburu village (optional) to see their traditional dances and way of life. Later dinner and overnight at the camp.

Samburu - Nairobi

After breakfast, we drive back to Nairobi. The drive takes us through the agricultural heartlands of Kenya, passing the town of Nyeri and the Mount Kenya region. We will stop for lunch along the way. Arrive in Nairobi in the late afternoon for drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
