After breakfast, your birding adventure begins as you journey to the spectacular Lower Zambezi National Park, one of Africa's most pristine wilderness areas. Set against the backdrop of the mighty Zambezi River and the dramatic Zambezi Escarpment, this remarkable ecosystem offers an exceptional diversity of habitats, making it one of Zambia's premier birding destinations.

Leaving the woodlands of South Luangwa behind, your expedition ventures north to the vast Bangweulu Wetlands, one of Africa's most remarkable and least-explored birding destinations. This internationally recognised Ramsar Wetland is a sanctuary for an extraordinary diversity of birdlife and is renowned as one of the world's most reliable places to encounter the legendary Shoebill in its natural habitat.
Explore an ever-changing landscape of papyrus swamps, floodplains, lagoons and open grasslands by boat and on foot with your specialist birding guide. Alongside the iconic Shoebill, search for other sought-after species including Wattled Crane, Slaty Egret, Black-winged Pratincole, Lesser Jacana, Allen's Gallinule, Blue-headed Coucal, African Pygmy Goose, and a wealth of herons, storks, ducks and migratory waders. Stay at Busanga Plains Camp, perfectly positioned to explore this extraordinary ecosystem.
