Your adventure begins early in the morning with departure from Arusha after breakfast. Travel east through the scenic landscapes of northern Tanzania, passing vibrant villages, sisal plantations, and spectacular views of the Pare and Usambara Mountains.
Arrive at Mkomazi National Park around lunchtime and enjoy lunch before entering the park.
The afternoon is dedicated to an exciting game drive across one of Tanzania's least-visited national parks. Mkomazi offers wide open plains dotted with acacia woodland, providing excellent wildlife viewing in a peaceful environment.
The highlight of your visit is the Mkomazi Rhino Sanctuary, home to Tanzania's successful black rhino conservation program. Here you'll have the rare opportunity to observe these critically endangered animals in a protected sanctuary while learning about ongoing conservation efforts. During your afternoon game drive, you will see

The road gradually climbs through lush farmlands, tea estates, and picturesque mountain villages before reaching Mazumbai Forest Reserve.
After lunch, begin your first guided rainforest walk.
