3-Day Gorilla Trek & Lake Bunyonyi Escape

Arrive in Uganda and transfer to Bwindi Forest/ Batwa Community Visit

Upon your arrival in Uganda at Entebbe International Airport early in the morning, you will be welcomed and picked up by our Nakra Safaris Uganda guide who will be holding an A4 paper with your name printed on it at the Airport and be transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You will have lunch on your way.

On your reaching Bwindi Impenetrable National Park between 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm, you will check in at your lodge.

In the evening, you will head out for a community walk where you will visit the Batwa, which is an Indigenous group of people that have lived in the forest for 500,000 years, and enjoy traditional dances and drama from them.

Gorilla Trekking/Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi/Relaxation

After early breakfast, we drive out to the park head offices with a packed lunch while accompanied by your guide and have a briefing about the Do’s and Don’ts while in the park with gorillas. After that, head for gorilla trekking through the mist rain forest. Trekking can take 2 hours or up to 6 hours, depending on the location of the gentle giants. Make sure you carry enough water, sturdy shoes, non-flash cameras, and rain jackets

After this long and exciting adventure, you will return to the lodge for a well-deserved shower. Thereafter, you will check out for a transfer to Lake Bunyonyi via Kabale, known by many as the 'Switzerland of Africa'. This twisting water body dotted with 29 islands with various shapes and sizes scattered across the water will amaze you.

Lake Bunyonyi is framed by lush, green-terraced hills that reach a height of (2,200 – 2,478m). You will do some sight seeing and relaxation upon arrival.

Transfer to Entebbe Airport/Stopover Equator

After a delightful breakfast, then you will return to the mainland and prepare to drive back to Entebbe. You will have a stopover at the Equator in Masaka for lunch, see where this imaginary line divides our planet into two equal hemispheres. Snacks, souvenirs, and photographs may be taken here.

You will arrive in Entebbe town in evening and be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your scheduled flight at night. Much as we would like your tour with us to last forever, sadly, today marks the end of your safari. Having shared so many wonderful experiences together, it's time to say goodbye and look back together on an amazing safari. We hope that you will come back to travel with us again one day.
