Depart for the Volcanoes National Park

We are setting off North west of Kigali to Rwanda's second biggest wildlife park best known for the Mountain Gorillas. The park is a 2hrs drive away from the capital Kigali with the beautiful views of the rolling hills that usher us into the Volcanoes park. We have lunch at the lodge followed by the evening community walk at the iby'iwacu community center. Return later to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Gorilla Trek Volcanoes Park

We wake up to the misty views of the Volcanoes park from our lodge. Head for an early breakfast, get our packed lunch and head for the Gorilla briefing session at the park headquarters in Kinigi. Check out at 8am and drive to the starting point of the Gorilla trek. The trek may take 1 to 6hrs and 1hr with these gentle giants. Return later, find your driver and head back to your lodge for relaxation.

Golden Monkey Trek & Kigali Drop off

We have our last day in the park, have our breakfast and head for the Golden Monkey briefing. Continue for the tracking. Meet the monkeys, very beautiful in the volcanic gardens, find them in the bamboo shrubs blending well with their Golden skins. Spend 1hr with the Monkeys and return to your vehicle driving back to Kigali for a drop off.
