Day 1

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha, followed by a scenic 2–3-hour drive to Tarangire National Park. After completing the park entry formalities, enjoy your first game drive through one of Tanzania's most wildlife-rich parks. Tarangire is famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and the Tarangire River, which attracts abundant wildlife year-round. Look out for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, and numerous bird species. At midday, enjoy a packed picnic lunch at a designated site within the park before continuing your afternoon game drive in search of more wildlife and spectacular scenery. After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. Known as one of Africa's top wildlife destinations, the crater is home to the Big Five, including the endangered black rhino, as well as lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, and flamingos around the crater lake.
