After breakfast, depart from your hotel and begin a trek through picturesque villages toward the Magamba Rainforest with a packed lunch. Explore the lush forest, home to black-and-white colobus monkeys, rare two-horned chameleons, and beautiful mountain scenery. Enjoy a picnic lunch near Magamba Village before continuing your walk through the forest. Later, a private vehicle will transfer you to Rangwi Sisters' Convent for your overnight stay. The convent offers simple, clean accommodation with shared bathroom facilities in a peaceful setting.

Rangwi to Mtae

After breakfast, begin your trek through scenic villages and along the breathtaking Usambara Mountain escarpment toward Mtae. Stop for a delicious home-cooked lunch with Ernest's family before visiting Mabughai Pottery Village, where you'll learn the traditional art of making clay pots. Continue hiking while enjoying spectacular views across the plains, with panoramic vistas stretching toward Tsavo West in Kenya and, on clear days, Mount Kilimanjaro. Arrive at Mtae and check in at Magumba Cottages for an overnight stay, surrounded by the stunning landscapes of the Usambara Mountains.

Driving Distance: 63 km
Wake up early to enjoy the spectacular sunrise and panoramic views from the famous World Viewpoint. After breakfast, check out of your lodge and meet your private driver for the scenic transfer back to Lushoto. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at the bus station to connect with your onward bus to Moshi or Arusha, marking the end of your unforgettable Usambara Mountains adventure.
