Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), you will be met by your safari guide and depart directly for the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Travel through the Kenyan countryside towards the Mara, with a stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint where time and arrival schedule allow. Continue to the reserve and proceed to Mara Simba Lodge for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive through the Mara’s expansive savannahs and diverse habitats. Your guide will select suitable routes based on the prevailing conditions and wildlife activity, providing opportunities to observe a variety of wildlife in its natural environment. Return to Mara Simba Lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Full-Day Maasai Mara National Reserve Safari

After breakfast at Mara Simba Lodge, spend a full day exploring the Maasai Mara National Reserve on an extended game drive. The reserve is renowned for its rich wildlife and expansive grasslands, offering excellent opportunities for game viewing throughout the day. Your experienced safari guide will plan the route according to the season, road conditions and wildlife activity, allowing you to explore different areas of the reserve. Depending on the season and sightings, you may encounter elephants, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, antelope and a variety of bird species, as well as predators such as lions, cheetahs and leopards. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed at a designated location during the day before continuing the safari. Return to Mara Simba Lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Maasai Mara to Nairobi

After breakfast at Mara Simba Lodge, check out and depart the Maasai Mara for Nairobi. Enjoy the changing landscapes of the Kenyan countryside as you travel back towards the capital. Depending on your onward flight schedule, you may choose to add selected activities in Nairobi, such as a visit to the Giraffe Centre, Nairobi National Museum, Maasai Market, or other suitable attractions. Optional activities are not included in the safari price and can be arranged at an additional cost, subject to time and availability. Following your chosen activities, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) for your onward journey. The airport transfer is included in the safari package.
